Barney Durrant is the principal deputy head (pastoral) at Harrow Hong Kong and was one of the founding members of the Senior Leadership Team when the School opened in 2012. He passionately believes in holistic education that equips children with the skills and tools to thrive in their adult life. At Harrow he conceived and established the Facing Challenges programme, a bespoke social and emotional learning programme designed to build resilient individuals who are able to deal with problems positively and look for solutions to any setback.
Prior to coming to Hong Kong, Barney taught at Stowe School in the UK for 14 years, initially as an Assistant House Master and then Head of Geography, before taking on the role of House Master for his last 7 years there.
